Changing the opacity of a layer

When you select a layer, you also select its opacity — the transparency of the layer. To turn a layer's opacity into 100 percent, double-click the layer or go to Layer » Layer » Opacity. Select a percentage of 0 or 100 percent.

Many layer settings have an effect on other layers. Changing the opacity of a layer lets you see through and hide other layers. If you change an opacity setting on a layer that is not transparent, it doesn't affect the transparency of the other layers.

Creating and applying filters

Filter effects are special types of adjustments that Photoshop makes to the image. You can apply a number of filters to an image — grayscale, blur, edges, and so on. The filter types are categorized by the effect type, with most filters falling into a number of categories. For example, a blurring filter is a type of sharpening filter, which sharpens. You can find out more about filters by creating and applying them.

The Options bar lets you adjust the strength of the effect. You can also change the type of filter you have applied.

You can apply many different filter types to an image. To do so, follow these steps:

How to access objects in a for loop, using pointers

This is what I want to do:
for (std::vector* map; map->size() > 0; map++)
delete (*map).reanimations;
(*map).reanimations = NULL;

But, I get the error message:

error C2440: '=' : cannot convert from'std::vector *' to'std::vector *'

How can I fix this? I'm trying to reference the objects in the vector, and not a pointer to it.


The problem is this line: (*map).reanimations = NULL;.
Your pointer is map, you should delete from map.
However, std::vector (and all other smart pointers) delete its items when the object goes out of scope. You should use a reference of type map (or of type std::vector&) to refer to the object and then use that reference for the pointer to the vector.


I'd do it like this
std::vector *vecPtr = NULL;
for (std::vector *map = vecPtr; map->size() > 0; map++)
delete (*map).reanimations;
(*map).reanimations = NULL;


std::vector has a destructor

which will delete all the elements in the vector. Thus, you should do:
for (std::vector* map = map_vector; map->size() > 0; map++)
delete (*map).reanimations;
